Rock Island Trail

700 SW Old Pryor Road Lee's Summit, MO 64081

Enjoy a 13.5-mile crushed rock and partially paved trail from Lee's Summit to the Truman Sports Complex in Kansas City, MO, perfect for a bike ride or a walk. Parking is recommended at Hartman Park as Truman Sports Complex will charge for special event parking. There are plans for future phases to connect to the Katy trail, connecting Kansas City to St. Louis!

Winterset Park Nature Area

700 SW Pryor Road Lee's Summit, MO 64081

This 10.2-acre park, adjacent to Charles David Hartman Park, is a natural area with a .95-mile wood chip trail that meanders through different types of trees and wildflowers, wood bridges and waterfalls. Any time of year you are sure to see some local wildlife and some amazing examples of Missouri native flowers.

Shawnee Trace Nature Trail

12405 SE Ranson Road, Lee's Summit, MO 64082

A popular 1.2-mile trail for hiking and walking! The trail is a loop, is generally considered an easy route that takes about 25 minutes to complete. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

1014 Loop

3498 NE Independence Avenue, Lee's Summit, MO 64064

The “1014 Loop” is a natural-surface, single-track trail for mountain biking, hiking, and trail running and is located along the northern and eastern portion of Legacy Park. The trail name is a reference to the highest elevation at Legacy Park.
